Royex line tester OOM 4

Royex Digital line tester OOM4

OOM-4 digital line tester can be used in conjunction with the blasting machines that do not already include a built-in line tester. OOM-4 is designed for safe testing the electric detonator lines and/or the connecting cables.

The line tester accurately measures the line resistance over the full range between 0 and 1999 Ω and includes an LCD screen that displays the readout. Momentary and also continuous measurement modes are available.

The continuous mode is initiated releasing the TEST button after 10 seconds and it lasts indefinitely. This is useful in situations where the detonator line can be affected for some time prior to the actual blasting moment, such as intentional covering of blasting charges.

For safety reasons, the measuring current is limited to 1 mA. The digital line tester is battery powered.

Royex initiation machine Bart 2AS

Royex Initiation machine BART 2AS

The Royex BART-2AS is a powerful high energy hand cranked blasting machine fitted in an anti static casing. The device uses a hand generator and the operator does not need an external power supply or batteries. The blasting machine is portable, compact and lightweight, and can easily be operated by a single person.

BART-2AS can be used to initiate up to 80 Maxfire igntiers or detonate most insensitive electric detonators that require high energy to detonate, including class C4 highly insensitive detonators.

BART-2AS  includes an output pulse tail cutting to limit the impulse to 4ms and quench the remaining capacitor charge. These safety features are necessary to eliminate potential secondary explosions of the flammable dust generated during the blast.

The blasting machine includes a number of important safety features to avoid accidental initiation. The crank handle can be removed by the operator when the firing line and the igniters/detonators are inspected or not ready to be fired yet. BART-2AS also includes a mechanical safety cover above the terminals that prevent cranking when the line is connected. Lastly, there are two FIRE buttons that need to be pushed simultaneously for initiation.

The device comes in an aluminum enclosure that includes ON-OFF/L-test switch, terminals for connecting electric firing line, and a crank handle for capacitor charging. Both sides of the panel include “READY” LEDs to indicate the capacitor charge state.

Royex antistatic initiation machine

Royex initiation machine Pongo

Royex Initiation machine PONGO

The Royex Pongo initiation machine is a compact, ultra-lightweight and easy to use blasting machine that fits on the palm of the user. It comes in a plastic cylindrical shell and includes a shaft button and two binding posts.

The firing line is connected directly to Pongo’s two binding posts. The energy for the blast is generated by firmly pushing the shaft button of the device; an external power supply or batteries are not needed. The device includes an R-type safety pin that prevents the release of the button until the operator is ready to initiation the electrical Maxfire or detonator.

Pongo supports blasting of up to three Maxfire igniters or two Class 1 detonators in series, with up to 120 m total line length and 1 mm² cross sectional copper cable. The total blasting line resistance should not exceed 11 Ω.

To test the line resistance, the Royex OOM-4 digital line tester should be used.

Royex Pongo is a multi-use device and can be used up to 1000 times or more. After each firing the device can be readied again by pulling the shaft button up to the cocked position.
